SMALL GROUPS

SPIRITUAL GROWTH IN THE COMPANY OF FRIENDS

MINISTRY OVERVIEW

Spiritual growth happens best in the company of friends. “Small Groups” are small gatherings of people who come together regularly to worship, care for one another, and help each other grow toward a thriving relationship with Jesus.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-27

Community allows us to feel the effects of our humanity: the nobility of being made in God’s image, and the pain of being fallen and broken. It spurs us to see the hurt of our sin and to begin to turn away from it. It gives us a language and a grid through which we make sense of our experiences with God. The Gospel sets us free for this, to be slaves to one another, this time in love. We are to make our way in this fallen world together, bearing with one another, pushing toward restoration.
