Parenting Your Little Ones With Understanding

Sometimes it’s hard to understand why your child behaves the way they do! When we approach parenting from a perspective of development, both our child’s and our own, it’s so much easier. In this session we’ll explore stages of development from infants through age three as well as a brief look at adult developmental and stages of parenting.

Ann is the owner of Nurtured Noggins and Texas Childcare Training and brings 35 years of experience in early childhood education, child development and curriculum design.  She is an active conference presenter, trainer and writer.

Ann draws on her roles as teacher, center director, college professor, children’s pastor, teacher trainer/coach, autism consultant and interactions with hundreds of parents and teachers to inform her work. She does to share her passion about how children develop and help others delight in children and God’s heart for us through our children.

I help people understand children. Do you ever wonder why 2-year olds are so ready to bite someone who interferes with what they want? Or what to do with your newborn in those wakeful spaces between feeding and sleep? Or what your preschooler really needs to be able to do before they enter kindergarten?

Through Nurtured Noggins and Texas Childcare Training and I can help! I bring 30 years of experience in child development, parent coaching, teacher development and curriculum design to inform my blog and online courses.

I draw on my roles as a teacher, center director, college professor, children’s pastor, teacher trainer/coach, autism consultant and interactions with hundreds of childcare professionals to influence and inform the courses we create. Our courses reflect what what I love most – sharing my passion about how children develop and helping others delight in children.
