"Together" Online Gathering Evening

We will be bringing the church to Facebook Live with a streaming event called "Together." This will be a mixture of worship, interviews, prayer, and communion. We will also have a special time just for kids. We will interview Dr. Randy Dunn, who brings a perspective as a physician and researcher who is a deeply committed follower of Jesus. You don't want to miss this! We will hear from Renae Norwood, a trainer for Spiritual Directors, about helpful practices for us during these unusual times. We will hear from Pat O'Shea, our Compassion Ministry Coordinator, about ways that we can make a difference during this time and live out our mission to be a community of God's extravagant love. Troy, Cheryl, Matt, and Kate will each lead us in worship from their homes. In addition, we will share communion together online. Prepare by getting a glass of grape juice or wine (or something similar, coffee?) and bread, or ritz crackers, a tortilla, or even if a chip if that’s all you have. Everyone is invited to participate. We invite to the table the same people that Jesus ate with … look it up … pretty much covers everyone. I look forward to spending time with you guys this morning. We will update you weekly regarding upcoming services. In addition, all other gatherings will be postponed. This includes this weekend’s parenting seminar and Sunday’s lunch gathering. We continue to explore ways to build community and support each other during this season. We were very encouraged by the great response to our online communion service this Thursday. We will continue to offer variations of these services on a regular basis. Our two priorities are care and connect. With this in mind, we are planning more frequent online opportunities for prayer, worship, communion, and encouragement.
