Vineyard Youth is where your student has the opportunity to connect to a community of God’s extravagant love. In this community we are all on a journey. As Christians, we call this a “spiritual formation” journey. It is the process by which Christ is formed in us. We participate in this journey in four core ways. We worship together every Sunday morning by singing and praying and studying scripture. We are equipped every Wednesday night through experiential learning and small group processing. We participate in community through Fun Nights and Ice Cream and Pizza Parties throughout the year. We “do the stuff” through service projects, mission trips and volunteerism.
One factor is learning to serve and be integrated into the larger church body. On one Sunday every month, our youth serve in several different ministries around the church. Every other Sundays, we participate in intergenerational worship in the sanctuary before we go upstairs for a youth service.
Another way is having Christian adult mentors intentionally present in their lives. Wednesday nights center around small group discussion, were our goal is that every student would develop a meaningful relationship with their leaders – a relationship that will contribute to the development of “sticky faith.”
